The Colossal Chestnut produces very large nuts (11-15 per pound). Known for its high yields. Nuts taste sweet and mellow with a smooth texture. The tree grows very rapidly and goes into production within three years after planting. It has a high percentage of perfect nuts in the shell as well.

Cold-hardy. Ripens in mid to late September.

It is best to plant 2 trees for proper pollination. 
Space your chestnut trees 35’ to 40’ apart.
