The Mutsu apple tree yields fruit with large, round yellow skin and a complex crisp, crunchy white flesh. Tart and juicy. Great for desserts. Bears early and is a heavy producer. Keeps well.

Cross between the Golden Delicious and the sweet Japanese variety apple called Indo. Keeps well in proper storage without shriveling. Originates from Mutsu Province, Japan. Introduced in 1948. Cold-hardy. Ripens in late September or early October.
